Well gidday for 1999. Massive amounts of snow in Europe and a pretty good season in the US tends to suggest that the Northern Hemisphere snow fiends are having a field day. This is the first issue of the KiwiNewZ SnowReport for 1999. We will be sending out monthly'ish updates until May'ish when we will go weekly'ish.

Many of you will have visited PeakCam, our video picture of Coronet Peak. We will be operating right through summer with a few different vistas of the Wakatipu Basin using our mobile webcam so come on over and watch a classic sunny Central Otago summer roll through our neck of the woods. We have some huge ideas for next year which will take the little old Southern Lakez snow areas right in to your office and living room. Mount Cook Group Ski Areas operate Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt snow fields. If you or a friend would like to be one of the 750 people that they employ each year then get on over to their employment page at http://www.nzski.com/employment.htm and get your application in before March 26, 1999. You may be required for an interview, and if so you will be contacted during April or May. Note carefully that you can only apply for Mt Hutt OR Coronet Peak / The Remarkables. NOT both.
